Nickelodeon Consumer Products International, part of Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN), is partnering with Kidrobot, the world’s premier producer of designer toys and apparel, on a new collaboration to create an original range of iconic themed products inspired by Comedy Central’s ground-breaking animation, South Park. The two-year deal will see the products launch internationally for the first time from Spring 2012. The announcement was made at BLE (Brand Licensing Europe) by Michael Connolly, Head of Consumer Products, VIMN.

The collaboration will offer consumers vinyl collectibles and zipper pulls. The vibrant and distinctive new lines which blend sculpture and popular art, such as 'Dead Kenny', will be produced in limited runs of only a few hundred pieces, adding to their exclusive rare status and increasing the appeal for collectors.

The Kidrobot capsule will now be available across 42 European markets plus Canada, and Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand in the Asia-Pacific region. It will be carried by bookstores and college bookstores, card and gift shops, comic book and department stores, music retailers, video and video game stores and speciality toy outlets as well as being available via direct mail, freight on board, online and e-retailers and Kidrobot’s own stores and website.

Connolly commented: South Park has attained iconic status with audiences around the world and 2011 in particular is a real milestone for the show so we’re delighted to produce this exclusive new range through our first partnership with Kidrobot. We're convinced that the unique line has real potential to appeal to dedicated fans and serious toy collectors alike and the collaboration underlines our commitment to growing our adult licensing business.”

Animated ground breaking series, South Park, celebrates its 15th anniversary this year and remains Comedy Central's longest running and highest rating show. Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone for mature audiences, the show has become famous for its dark, satirical and surreal humour mocking a wide range of topics and follows the out-of-the-ordinary adventures of four boys – Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman and Kenny McCormick – in the titular Colorado town. South Park has achieved phenomenal success and is now seen in more than 140 countries worldwide in more than 40 languages. In 1999 the series spawned a successful spin-off movie ‘South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut’.
