URANIA acquires DVD rights for VIPO 2 in Czech Republic

VIPO Land has closed a home entertainment license agreement with URANIA s.r.o., a DVD distributor based in Prague, for the 2nd series “Surviving Time Island with VIPO & Friends”. The rights are granted in Czech language for Czech Republic on exclusive and for Slovakia on non-exclusive basis. Both companies will produce the dubbed version of the TV series together. The launch of the four DVD titles is expected for February 2012. The agreement was mediated by Merchandising Prague, VIPO Land’s representative in Czech Republic.

MTV acquires Free TV rights for both VIPO series in Hungary

Hungary’s public-service television MTV has acquired Free TV rights for both series “VIPO - Adventures of the Flying Dog” and “Surviving Time Island with VIPO & Friends”. Broadcast of the first series in its recently upgraded HD version on M1, M2 and Duna TV channels is scheduled for November 2011. Meanwhile, Pro Tone Studio in Budapest is in the process of dubbing the 26 episodes of the second VIPO series. The agreement was mediated by VIPO Land’s Hungarian representative Tendril Park Ltd.
