The organisers of the Licensing New Europe Show & Conference (LNE) have announced that the 2012 show will be called Licensing@Russia and will take place in Moscow on March 14-16, with the venue set to be confirmed soon.

Licensing@Russia will carry on from where LNE left off - promoting the role of licensing in the New Europe region, an area comprising 35 countries and with more than 400 million inhabitants across Central, Eastern and South-eastern Europe, Russia and CIS. Last year’s hugely successful event attracted more than 350 participants who took the opportunity to share their experience and knowledge with licensing industry professionals and specialists from New Europe. The show’s importance is reflected by the fact that it is the only licensing event in the region that has official LIMA representatives in attendance.

The 2012 show promises a fascinating insight into the vast and vital Russian & CIS market, as well the most significant markets in the New Europe region, and boasts a programme of leading company and property presentations, screenings, panel discussions, workshops and educational sessions. The timing of the show will coincide with many other hugely important events taking place in Moscow at the same time - these include World Food Moscow and the Specialized Exhibition of Services for TV and Cinema Production, but most importantly Детство/Toys&Kids Russia 2012 and the Скрепка/Skrepka International Stationery Expo.

“Since announcing the move to Russia we have been dealing with constant demands for information from the international licensing community, so we are delighted to be able to confirm the official name and date,” says Managing Director Goran Krnjak. Licensing@Russia presents an amazing opportunity for anyone looking to become acquainted with the massive potential offered by the Russian licensing sector. The timing of the event also gives visitors the chance to enhance the value of their visit by attending a number of shows and tapping into the huge depth of expertise that will be on offer.”

“Russia is establishing itself as the next frontier for licensing and branding and Licensing@Russia is for those in the industry who want to step into this market - representing a milestone in educational, cultural and business exchange between the international licensing sector and the Russian business community,” adds Zeljko William Krnjak from the LIMA New Europe office in Moscow. “The Russian market’s sheer potential is illustrated by two facts: Russia and neighbouring countries represent the world’s fastest growing market for the cinema and entertainment industry, whilst the Russian toy market is the world leader for growth - with experts talking of rates of 10 to 15 percent a year for children‘s products.”

Licensing@Russia is being organised by a partnership of Creata Ltd and the Magnum Opus company.
