As announced today by ZDF Enterprises President and CEO Alexander Coridass, Juergen Steimer, Senior Vice President Acquisitions and Coproductions, is retiring as of 31 December 2011. Coridass: "Juergen Steimer is one of the most experienced international program purchasers. With his know-how in business and program content, he was an unfailing guarantee for the success of ZDF Enterprises, and thanks to his vast knowledge and expertise, he must be given credit for a large part of the successful development of the firm. Through his personality, he also garnered great recognition from all business associates." Juergen Steimer adds: "I witnessed the founding of ZDF Enterprises and am proud that the firm has established itself as an important player on the German and international market."
Juergen Steimer was appointed Legal Consultant to ZDF in 1982, specialising in copyright, international law and cable distribution in other countries. From 1989 to 1992 he was Head of the Program Acquisition and Coproduction Department at ZDF. When ZDF Enterprises was founded in 1993, Juergen Steimer was part of the founding team and has been Senior Vice President Acquisitions and Coproductions ever since. |
