Trans-media entertainment company, Atlantyca Entertainment, has secured a licensing agreement with Italy’s leading confectioner, Sorini S.p.A., for the manufacture and distribution of a new line of Geronimo Stilton Kingdom of Fantasy chocolate Easter eggs; it was announced by Atlantyca Entertainment CEO Claudia Mazzucco.

Under the new deal, Sorini will manufacture individual 280 gram chocolate Easter eggs with a surprise inside each egg, and small bags of 6 gram chocolate Easter eggs with a surprise inside each bag. Rachele Geraci, Atlantyca’s licensing and agent manager, secured the deal which will result in products being introduced throughout Italy in time for Easter 2012.

“We are pleased to be working with such a well-known company as Sorini on a new line of products that will serve to reinforce the Kingdom of Fantasy property’s position as a fixture among Italian pop culture this Easter,” said Mazzucco.

Geronimo Stilton’s The Kingdom of Fantasy is another new adaptation of one of the mouse author’s most popular book series. It takes readers on an adventure with Geronimo Stilton to meet elves, gnomes, pixies, and witches as they face a series of challenges to rescue Floridiana, the Queen of the fairies! The adventure series has a unique feature: readers interact with the books through scratch and sniff “smells and scents” that appear throughout the story’s events. There is even the smell of chocolat! Seven books in the series have already been published and over one million copies have sold in Italy.

Publishing rights for the book have also been sold by Atlantyca Entertainment’s foreign rights sales department in a number of countries. Worldwide, the saga has sold 3.3 million copies.
