Licensing professionals with less than seven years’ experience are being encouraged to attend the next LIMA UK flip (Future LIMA Industry Professionals) networking event on Thursday 29th March, which focuses on how to develop a successful career in international licensing. The event will take place at Hispaniola Thames restaurant and bar on London’s Embankment from 5:30 to 7:00pm. At the centre of the event will be a talk by Eric Huang, Publishing Director, Media and Entertainment, at Penguin Books, who will be drawing on an extensive career to give attendees exclusive insights and advice on how to succeed in international licensing. Following Eric’s talk there will be an opportunity for attendees to have a drink and network with others within the licensing community. Eric has worked in children’s book publishing for over 15 years and has worked in the US, Australia and now the UK. His career has included roles at Disney Publishing, Penguin Australia, Funtastic and Parragon. Currently in Penguin Children’s Media & Entertainment division, he works with a successful movie, TV and interactive tie-in publishing program which includes books, ebooks, apps and other storytelling platforms behind Moshi Monsters, Peppa Pig, Doctor Who, Skylanders, Hello Kitty and LEGO. flip remains one of the key elements of LIMA’s mission to educate professionals about the licensing industry and to support people in their licensing careers.
