The inaugural Licensing@Russia show culminated today with a special Russian Day organised with the assistance of the AIDT (Russian toy association) Licensing Committee.

The day, which rounded of a busy and constructive show in Moscow's newly built Crocus International Exhibition Centre, was moderated by Ilya Popov, President of The Association of Animation Studios and included a research presentation from Phillipe Guiaudeau on popular Russian brands and comparisons between Russia and other key licensing markets as well a fascinating talk on 100 years of Russian animation from Nikolai Makovsky, Director General of Soyuzmultfilm, Russia's oldest animation studio.

Explained Licensing@Russia show Co-organiser Goran Krnjak, 'Completing our event with a day entirely focused on educating our local and international visitors about the Russian market was undoubtably the right thing to do, were very pleased with how it went'.
