Marvel heroes under attack!

The never-ending battle between good and evil enters the next level. With the new trading card game Hero Attax Marvel – Avengers Edition now collectors may stage their own struggle between super heroes and evil villains. The latest trading card set once more follows the well-proven Attax play concept. Characters challenge each others by use of their defence and attack ratings. What is more, the new set also includes four brand new stats like speed, strength, agility, and intelligence. These stats that can be used in confrontation, add to the excitement of playing Hero Attax, and underline the individual strength of each character. Topps provide a total of 224 different cards, featuring popular heroes like Hulk, Iron Man, and Wolverine. In addition to regular cards, booster packs include foil and rainbow foil cards. Special team and weapon cards can be used to boost your defence and attack ratings and give you a head start over your opponents.

A highlight of a special kind are the 32 super cool movie cards featuring images from the forthcoming Marvel´s The Avengers film. The movie is scheduled for theatrical release on 26 April 2012 throughout Germany. “Thanks to the brand new Hero Attax TCG fans may fight their own battles before the actual movie enters the silver screens. Additional stats make gameplay more exciting and the special cards look really fantastic. They are a real gain to the collection”, said Thomas Schmitz, International Sales and Marketing Manager, Topps.

Cards are available from news dealers and toy shops throughout Germany. Each card pack includes 5 cards and costs 1.00 €. The starter pack for a strong beginning is priced at 7.50 € and includes not only a game guide, a wicket game mat and a collector’s binder but also five Hero Attax cards and a super cool 3D Captain America movie trading game card.

The product launch is supported by a free sampling in the special-interest magazine Card Collector. In the edition released on 26 April 2012 fans will find an insert featuring five cards of the newly released Marvel Hero Attax collection.
