mi-commsPR Joins LIMA

LIMA UK - April 2012

Helping licensing companies build their brand presence

Full-service PR company, mi-commsPR, has become the latest organisation to join LIMA, the licensing industry trade association (www.licensing.org). As a member of LIMA UK, mi-commsPR will have access to numerous benefits including access to the LIMA member-only lounges at BLE and Licensing Expo and discounts at events such as the Global Networking Party at BLE and Spring Fling. It will also receive support via publications, research and educational programmes.

The Buckinghamshire-based agency, which this year celebrates its fifth anniversary, works for a number of leading organisations in the licensing industry. It has some high profile LIMA members amongst its clients: it is helping JCB Kids to build their brand presence as well as managing trade and consumer PR for international licensing agency, 4Kids Entertainment & 4Sight Licensing International. Other clients include Withit, Chapman Entertainment, University Games, Mookie and InspirationWorks’ pre-school electronic learning aids. This summer, mi-commsPR is going to be helping to launch the Kurio: the first ever kids android tablet which is expected to become a best-seller this Christmas.

mi-commsPR joins a number of other LIMA members who specialise in supporting companies within the licensing community. These include design agencies, legal and financial experts and licensing consultants.

Saphia Maxamed, Membership Services Manager, explains: “While we have many large organisations in membership, such as BBC Worldwide, the V&A and GfK, we also provide significant benefits both for smaller licensors and licensees and specialists, like mi-commsPR. These include discounts and complimentary meeting tables at LIMA-supported trade shows, networking events and general advice and support.”

She added “It is so important to us to look after all our members and by having the support from industry service specialists we can ensure both licensees and licensors can source service providers who are switched onto industry needs and can meet the highest expectations.”

Kirsty Barr, Managing Director of mi-commsPR, comments: “As a full-service consultancy we relish working with brands and agencies wanting to expand their presence both within the industry and with consumers. We work with international brands as well as smaller clients and are passionate about delivering a great service which exceeds expectations. Our aim is to expand our portfolio of licensing clients across all sectors.”

“Growing a PR consultancy in tough economic conditions is no mean feat, but we’ve done it and are celebrating five successful years this month! I put our success down to hard work, dedication and knowing our stuff – and most of our clients have come to us via personal recommendation. Being a member of LIMA is important to us because it shows our clients that we are committed to the sector and we are in touch with key influencers in the licensing community.”
