Nickelodeon And Studio 100 Media Join Forces For Hotel 13

Shooting of Hotel 13 (120 x 12’; 8 to 11 years) began recently in the Belgian city of Antwerp. The new daily soap series for kids and pre-teens is scheduled to air this autumn on Nickelodeon.

Directed by the Dutch director Dennis Bots, Hotel 13 features actors such as Peter Nottmeier (Switch Reloaded) Jörg Moukkadam (Vicky the Viking) as well as the young actors Patrick Baehr (Schloss Einstein), Ilka Teichmüller, Carola Schnell, Julia Schäfle, Gerrit Klein, Marcel Glauche and Hanna Scholz. The German-speaking version of the series is a co-production between Nickelodeon Northern Europe, Studio 100 NV and Studio 100 Media. Following their highly successful cooperation with the mystery soap series the House of Anubis, they are now embarking on another joint project. Hotel 13 is currently the greatest and most extensive indigenous production of the children’s broadcaster in Northern Europe.

We are looking forward with anticipation to the great adventure and friendship stories that have been created in Hotel 13”. Shooting of the series will continue until December 2012 in Belgium. Studio 100 NV is in charge of the local production, with German agents ‘Le und La’ responsible for the casting.

The first season of Hotel 13 comprises of 120, 12-minute episodes. The Germanspeaking version of the series will be produced for the territories in the Nickelodeon Northern Europe cluster, an alliance of the countries Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland and Austria followed by the synchronization into their respective language. Merchandising products such as a board game, puzzle, DVD box and audio drama with be released in Autumn 2012.
