Brand Licensing Europe 2012, the Advanstar organised licensing exhibition, returns to London’s, Olympia this year from 16th – 18th October 2012.

This year’s show is set to be the busiest yet with over 250 brand owners showcasing over 2,200 of the latest brands, characters and images. To date over 85 organisations will be exhibiting for the first time, including Endemol Worldwide Brands, MGA Entertainment, Museum of London, Royal Opera House Enterprises, The British Library, Royal Museums Greenwich and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DreamWorks Animation have also all confirmed their attendance at this year’s show.
The show also sees the return of the hugely successful Retail Mentoring Programme, which has tripled in size since its launch three years ago. The programme is the only one of its kind, and is designed to nurture retail talent in the licensing industry, helping retail professionals to understand its complexities. Over 40 buying professionals from retail giants Avon, Boots, John Lewis, Mothercare, Sainsbury’s and Tesco have all confirmed their participation for this year and will join the 600 strong retail contingent at the show |
Once again, The Licensing Academywill play host tofree-to-attend seminars, workshops, discussions and keynotes for retailers and licensees designed to advance their licensing skill base and learn from industry experts about hot trends and opportunities. Confirmed speakers include: LIMA UK, Planet Retail, GfK, NPD Group, Insight Licensing, Aliza Reger, CEO, Janet Regerand The Fashion Network.
Now in its third year, the License This! ‘Dragon’s Den’ style challenge will take place on the last day of the show, offering those with brand new creative concepts the opportunity to break into the global licensing industry. The competition has had a significant impact on past winners and finalists who have gone on to sign successful licensing deals as a result. Since winning in 2010, animaru have gone on to sign an impressive number of licensing deals including with Optipak for optical products, Sunday Studio (Ruckjack) and Hedge Betty for apparel lines and The Binary Box for children's wall stickers. Last year's winner 'How to... for the Inept' will exhibit its expanded range at this year’s show.
Attendees can also enjoy the Screening Suite, a fully working cinema, allowing visitors to enjoy advanced previews of some of the hottest blockbusters to hit our screens.
