Manufacturer and Grand Prix team owner Marussia shows off amazing car on stand E010
And that’s not all: a real Marussia B2 super car will be on show on the main aisle of the JELC/BER stand — number E010 — at BLE. Marussia Motors first caught the eye of the international automotive fraternity with the Marussia B1 and B2 sports cars in 2008 and 2009. Since then the company has built the MR01 racing car and bought a controlling share in the British Virgin Racing team — now the Marussia F1 team. Along with its already well-known road and racing cars Marussia has a number of exciting new concept designs and plans in the pipeline as part of its drive to position itself as a major automotive force in Russia and the world. The BER appointment is a significant part of that drive. The presence of Marussia at BLE Is further evidence of a fast-changing awareness of the Russian market, which has quickly become not just a major new outlet for licensed brands from around the world but is now producing its own big names. The Russian supercar company will be joining a busy JELC/BER stand whose highlights include Ultimate Fighting Championship®, the world’s best loved global Mixed Martial Arts brand; iconic seaside postcard name Bamforth; the amazing Turizmo boys’ toy and games concept; the magical princesses who become the Gem Fairies; and the laid-back lifestyle and clothing brand Plain Lazy, A number of deals from the Brand Extensions Russia JJP joint venture, including the arrival of some major names for the vast Russian market, will also be announced during the show. Nikolay Fomenko, President of Marussia Motors says: “We were delighted at the response to our fantastic new cars from both the public and specialist car aficionados. As trailblazers for a new and exciting direction for Russian car design we’re looking forward to working with BER, whose Directors are well-known and extremely well-connected, and to showing off a Marussia car at Europe’s most important licensing show.” Jane Evans, Director, BER, says: “Being the first licensing agency to build and develop a major Russian licensing programme for the global market is a real privilege — and this is a genuinely exciting licensing opportunity. We were looking for a Russian brand that would excite the licensing world and this stylish, sleek and speedy supercar brand really fits the bill!” |
