TCNE has an unprecedented line-up of promotional activity with retail partners Toys “R” Us, The Entertainer, Smyths Toys Superstores, Argos, Hamley’s and Toymaster in one of the company’s largest retail initiatives to-date. The nationwide retail campaign will generate excitement in-store for both the new Ben 10: Omniverse toy lines and help increase footfall to the participating stores throughout Autumn. Graham Saltmarsh, UK Licensing Director, Turner CN Enterprises said, “We wanted to create a retail buzz every bit as exciting as the new TV series and to reward Ben 10 fans across the country with something special as the new toy line hits the shops.” Toys “R” Us is offering Ben 10 fans the chance to win hundreds of prizes, including a trolley dash, Xbox 360, Ben 10 toys and much more, if they find a lucky green ticket in special packs of Ben 10: Omniverse toys. Throughout September The Entertainer is offering children the chance to win everything they see in the store’s specially created Ben 10 display windows, in addition to a free goodie bag when they spend £14 or more on Ben 10 product in-store. Meanwhile, participating Smyth’s Toys Superstores will have in-store costume appearances from new aliens Feedback and Shocksquatch across the UK and ROI and an online competition offering fans the chance to win a Ben 10: Omniverse playset. Additional retail support is being provided by Argos which will be offering an exclusive free DVD with any Ben 10: Omniverse purchase. At Hamley’s children can immerse themselves in Ben’s Omniverse thanks to a green screen photo opportunity running throughout the October Half Term. While Toymaster will feature branded window displays at the majority of their stores nationwide. The Ben 10: Omniverse range includes 15cm Sound Alien Figures, each with a unique alien action and sound function which links to the Omnitrix Touch – a higher priced Omnitrix featuring a touch-screen where children can select their favourite alien and unlock light and sound features based on the show. Rook, Ben’s new mentor in the TV series, has his own special Proto-Truk vehicle that transforms into an alien ship at the touch of a button. There is also a playset for Ben’s new main base, the Intergalactic Plumber Command Center which includes light-up core mode and missile firing action. Bandai will support their Ben 10: Omniverse toy range with a heavyweight TV advertising campaign which will run from September throughout Autumn/Winter 2012 to ensure exposure in the run-up to the Christmas period. |
