The Company Our client is the world's largest toy company based on revenue (6,26 billion US-Dollar in 2011). The product line-up includes some of the best-known brands in children’s toys and games. The German entity (located in Hessen - Frankfurt area) with three digit revenues is planning to hire a Franchise Manager DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
The Role The future incumbent of this new created position operates as interface amongst licensee and key account management in order to keep and build strategic partnerships with key licensees towards relevant retail partners to leverage franchise potential continuously. Furthermore the key responsibilities are:
- Drive and coordinate the integration of the licensing business
- Define relevant cooperation tools (promotions, POS solutions etc.) and implement them in partnerships
- Align with different functions such as sales and customer marketing
- Develop retail strategies to achieve brand statement presence and deliver brand experience
- Develop and implement customer specific strategic account plans that maximize the win/win aspects for both parties
- Based on channel/retail knowledge define jointly with the Brand Marketing Department and the Licensing Department relevant products that can maximize sales
- Help to secure incremental listings/distribution
- Define how to collect POS and data analysis to identify growth opportunities
- Implement an integrated approach for demand creation and franchise planning
- Develop and implement customer/channel specific strategic plans and roadmaps
- Ensure excellence in execution by constantly challenging the status quo
The incumbent reports to the Director Sales DACH.
The Candidate He/she has a degree in business administration (Bachelor/Master/Diplom) combined with solid sales management experience in the area of licensing. Further requirements are:
- Deep understanding of retail market and consumer habits
- A strong strategic perspective
- Solid international experience
- Toy business exposure would be a plus but not required
- Strong influencing and rhetorical skills
- Strong ability to lead and inspire
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with an internationally oriented and open minded personality. He/she has an excellent command of German and English.
