CreaCon Group, the Norwegian children’s entertainment production company, has achieved ticket sales of over 15,000 for the debut of ‘City of Friends Live’ - the Company’s brand new Live Arena Show based on hit pre-school television series City of Friends.

‘City of Friends Live’ is a 90-minute musical and theatrical extravaganza written by UK based children’s writer Di Redmond, with the story and concept created by City of Friends creator Carl Christian Hamre. The show features characters and music from the hit TV series that is now broadcast in more than 180 countries around the world.

The City of Friends arena show is one of the largest in Europe with 1,400 metres square of arena space transformed into a magical family show with colourful sets including the City of Friends police and fire stations. The show features Hayley, the helicopter character flying above the audience and life size electric City of Friends emergency vehicle characters - Petey the Police car, Frankie the Fire engine and Abbey the Ambulance driving on ‘roads’ between the front and back audience sections in the arena. City of Friends Live premiered on September 27th with six shows staged at Vestlandshallen arena, Bergen, Norway.

City of Friends Live is a follow-up to the successful theatre stage shows performed last year to more than 30,000 fans of City of Friends across Norway. The City of Friends stage show also captured the imagination of family audiences and media at premier lifestyle and entertainment destination The Dubai Mall, in Dubai, in May this year, with over 20 performances staged across one week.

CreaCon is planning future live stage shows in other international markets including the UK, where, this October, City of Friends is celebrating its first anniversary on Channel 5’s milkshake!

City of Friends was first broadcast in the Nordic countries in 2010 and is uniquely based on the adventures of a real-life Norway state police officer, CreaCon Founder and CEO Carl Christian Hamre.
