Zoobabu adds prize and continues its successful international career. The original BRB Internacional cartoon series, with riddles in 3D stereoscopic and aimed at a children’s audience, was awarded the Special Mention prize in the Television Series category at the prestigious Expotoons festival which ended yesterday in Argentina. The series, which has just been acquired for Latin America by the Discovery Kids Channel, will premier in open-broadcasting format in Spain on TVE’s Clan Channel on November 12.
Co-produced by Screen 21, Televisió de Catalunya and image-in, Zoobabu brings a hundred or so fun riddles to life, puzzles starring 104 different animals hidden inside a pretty box. Step by step, clue by clue, the kids discover the numerous characters in an interactive way.
The series Zoobabu was officially presented at MIP JR 2010, in Cannes, where it earned a nomination to the Kids’Jury prize for series aimed at an audience between 3 and 6 years old. And it also garnered a nomination to the Pulcinella Award 2012, the pre-school category at the Italian festival Cartoons on the Bay. |
