Spanish producer and licensing agency BRB Internacional has signed a deal with Dracco Company Ltd to be the exclusive licensing agent in Iberia for the hit brand Filly. Filly is a fantasy world of magic oriented to girls from 5 to 10 years old. An animated TV series will be launched early 2014.

BRB will launch an extensive licensing program for the property. Filly is a huge success in Germany being the #1 top toy license brand, according to the source NPD, and the #1 kids magazine in the territory. Filly magazine has also been launched in 13 more European countries.

Dracco Company Ltd. has sold more than 50 million Filly collectibles and is developing a huge licensing program. A heavy marketing campaign with Simba Dickie Group as master toy plus other licensees is backing the property worldwide.

Jacob Andersen, Managing Director at Dracco, says, “The partnership with BRB represents a new era for Dracco, and we are thrilled to bring the Filly brand experience to new markets, new licensees and new platforms. Our commitment to the Filly animated series, in conjunction with BRB and Screen 21, creates new opportunities in Spain, Portugal and worldwide for the much loved Filly brand. These opportunities are possible with great partners such as BRB.”

Axel Derendorf, Head of International Licensing & Marketing at Dracco, adds: “We are very happy to have BRB on board to help us develop new licensing business for Filly in Spain and Portugal. At Dracco, we are expanding our resources, especially in the field of digital entertainment, and will continue to launch Apps and online entertainment in the coming months. The TV series produced with BRB/Screen 21 provides extensive opportunities for licensees. We are still looking for many licensees to grow Filly in markets across Europe to and duplicate the success in Germany. The Filly interactive game has received lots of international interest. Our reception at the Brand Licensing Show in London was excellent.”

Besides, Javier Biern, Licensing Manager at BRB Internacional adds: “It’s time to bring to Spain and Portugal the huge success Filly is getting in Germany and some Eastern European countries. Our clients know the potential of Filly and we are already working to include new product categories to the Licensing program.”
