Chupa Chups Goes Back In Time - Brand Licensing London 2012

 

Last October, Chupa Chups was present at the Brand Licensing Europe fair in London, where the brand went back to its origins nearly 55 years after its creation.

Our iconic brand returned to its nostalgic designs which took us back to our childhood in a surprising setting of an old time sweet shop taken right out of the fifties. Chupa Chups presented its historic brand materials and beautiful vintage designs which are inspired by the advertisement campaigns of the early days of the lollipop.

On the first day of the show, Chupa Chups took the occasion to grant the “Best Licensee of the Year” award to its valued licensee Sahinler S.A.S., who has sold half a million pieces of apparel into popular French youth fashion retailers such as Pimkie, Mim, Cache Cache and Kiabi and others to follow soon.

An endless parade of visitors wanted to experience the nostalgic magic of our stand, welcomed by a friendly shopkeeper of the old days. On the occasion of the fair, Chupa Chups has released a special edition newspaper - “The Sweet Times” - as a platform to explain the brand’s history and to present the vintage artwork.

The Licensing Team received many congratulations and valuable contacts that will help expand the brand in various territories.

Indeed, the brand’s licensing program continues to grow rapidly and recently a master licensee deal was signed in Russia. In 2013, the licensing division will continue to look for further expansion in the Asian and Eastern European markets and an international personal care range will be launched into all the major European retailers.

Chupa Chups looks forward to spreading its colorful and sweet message, establishing the brand’s fun lifestyle and "life less serious" look at life across many sectors.
