Vic the Viking starts sailing in 45 countries

Studio 100 Media - January 2013

Vic the Viking in CGI (78x13’) production has started cruising. Two episodes are already finished and the whole series will be delivered by 2014. 30 years after the 2D version, the rejuvenated version of the fun adventures of this surprising boy more brainy than brawny will enchant kids and their parents all around the world.

Licensees already embarked on Vic’s drakkar

Publishing is the first anchor point of Vic’s brand: Hemma for books (France), De Agostini and Planeta for partwork (France, Italy/Spain), Panini for Magazine (GAS). The Master Toy partner in GAS, Simba Dickie, one of the top 5 Toy Manufacturers in Europe, will present the first product designs at the Nüremberg Toy fair 2013. The new and very rich Vic the Viking style guide will set sail in January, 2013: more than the usual artwork (posings, backgrounds, badges, patterns, packaging, etc.), it will also contain POS material examples, a basic set of products concepts to be completed in March. This tool will surely reinforce the appeal of our dear Viking.

Sail with Vic in Plopsa park (de Panne)

Plopsaland in De Panne (at the French Belgian border) bets on Vic: a whole area, with two new attractions and one restaurant, dedicated to the brand, will be opening by summer 2013. The Disk’O Coaster is a sensational and innovative attraction! Sitting on a disk, the visitors fly at 70km/h on a hilly track and reach 16 meters high. In the Splash battle, visitors will sail in a drakkar for 155 meters… and be able to open the fire on the other drakkars thanks to water cannons.

A subtropical pool, aquatic paradise of 3 500m², branded with Studio100’s characters is also under construction and will open in 2014. This very unique concept will be a perfect destination in all seasons for the whole family.
