ZDF Enterprises has restructured the organization of its operative business. The firm has restructured four divisions which are each responsible for a specific genre and which manage international projects from the securing of rights (in particular, coproductions, cofinancing, acquisitions etc.) to the many facets of sales and distribution (Free and Pay TV, DVD, VoD, Merchandising etc.). This concerns the divisions ZDFE.junior (Children and Youth Programs, headed by Peter Lang), ZDFE.drama (Series and TV Movies, headed by Tasja Abel), ZDFE.factual (documentaries, headed by Ralf Rueckauer) and ZDFE.entertainment (Show, Music, Sports, headed by Sylvia Brucker). In the future, the division “Acquisitions and Coproductions ZDF” under the direction of Volker Lehmann will be attending to the business services concerning ZDF, in particular the acquisition of international feature films, documentaries, children’s programs, TV series etc. Contemporaneously with this restructuring, Fred Burcksen has been appointed to COO for the organizational unit “Investment and Sales” of ZDF Enterprises. Stephan Adrian continues to be responsible for the commercial business sector as CFO, and Alexander Coridass, President and CEO, will be responsible above all for strategy and corporate development of the entire ZDF Enterprises group. A comprehensive overview of the new ZDF Enterprises structure can be found on the organizational chart on the firm’s website www.zdf-enterprises.de. In the words of Alexander Coridass, “We at ZDF Enterprises are not only looking back on 20 years of corporate history in 2013, but we shall also be offering our German and international clients and business partners an even better service in the future thanks to the new structure. I am looking forward to collaborating with Stephan Adrian and with Fred Burcksen as new co-manager. For many years now, Fred has been an exceptionally successful, innovative and ‘can-do’ media manager who will help us consolidate our position on the market and contribute to our development.” |
