...to bring DC Super Friends and Looney Tunes into Parks and Playgrounds across the UK

New venture will encourage active play amongst children through the timeless appeal of WBCP’s much-loved brands

Warner Bros. Consumer Products UK (WBCP UK) unveils details of an exciting new partnership with Park Leisure Ltd. that will see its DC Super Heroes and classic Looney Tunes characters used on an innovative range of imaginatively themed outdoor play equipment and branded sports and play zones.

Park Leisure has designed an extensive play range that features the ever popular DC Comics Super Heroes; Superman, Batman, The Flash and many more from the new licensing programme, DC Super Friends in addition to perennial cartoon favourites such as Bugs Bunny, Wile E Coyote and Taz from WBCP’s Looney Tunes Active licensing initiative which positions the Looney Tunes characters as ambassadors for fitness. Park Leisure will provide Local Authorities, Schools, Holiday and Theme Parks, Leisure Centres and a range of other destination venues new and exciting character-based outdoor play and sports equipment for children of all ages that will enliven parks and playgrounds throughout the UK.

Already developed are themed play zones such as a Looney Tunes Active Trail featuring products such as a Bugs Bunny Apex Climber and Sylvester chasing Tweety Pie Slalom Posts. Additional ranges include a Superman Fortress of Solitude climbing frame with slide and a Wayne Manor Batcave climbing wall and slide chute in addition to stand alone outdoor equipment. The dramatic and visually impactful designs incorporate iconic imagery, themes and logos such as the S-Shield and Bat Signal to create a fully interactive brand experience that will bring to life some of world's best-loved cartoon characters and superheroes.
