Kelvyn will provide delegates with the latest insights into the international licensing market, using data from LIMA’s annual licensing survey. He will also discuss consumer research into attitudes about licensing and highlight its benefits to manufacturers and brand owners alike. His speech forms part of LIMA’s overall mission to raise awareness of licensing and to help businesses embark on their own licensing programmes. LISENSSI=BISNES has been organised by the Association of Agents and Managers in Creative Industries (www.agma.fi), to help share international best practice. It is an all-day event with a programme of inspiring speakers ranging from senior executives at leading licensors and licensees to specialist consultants, government advisors and journalists from Finland and around Europe. Delegates start in the main hall with a morning programme and may then choose from speakers in four separate halls focusing on different industries - Food and Drinks Industry, Travel and Health Services, Products and Merchandise, Textile and Clothing Industry – in the afternoon. Gardner comments: “Finland already has a number of licensing success stories with brand owners such as Rovio (owners of Angry Birds), Fiskars Home and Rabbit Films (producers of The Dudesons TV show) enjoying international success through their licensing programmes. The Finnish Government is also trying to encourage licensing and IP business through measures such as tax concessions.” “Despite this, licensing as a distinctive and beneficial business tool is still relatively unknown within Finland, so this event will be an excellent opportunity for business leaders and the licensing community to hear success stories and learn about strategies to build a brand both within the Nordic region and beyond.” For more information and to register, visit the event website on: http://www.lisenssibisnes.fi/en/ |
