“We’re excited to add Funny Face to our client roster”, said Bill Cross, Vice President of Restaurant & Food Brand Licensing at Broad Street. “These characters are a perfect visual complement to any number of snack, beverage and prepared foods products. And with such a demand for healthier food and drink choices, the timing is perfect. Their 25 one-minute interstitial cartoons are already airing on the German kids web channel Toggo.de where they’ve been viewed over 400,000 times.” |
Ashley Postlewaite is co-owner of the Funny Face brand and also produced the Funny Face cartoons through her company, Renegade Animation. “Funny Face is gaining serious momentum right now and the need for top notch representation was key to moving the brand forward. Broad Street and Infinity have the track record and industry know-how to bring our fruity friends to the level they need to be.”
Funny Face won the MIPCOM Junior Licensing challenge in 2008, squeezing out 84 other global brands for the coveted “Best Licensing Potential” award. In addition to their presence on Germany’s toggo.de network, they are airing on the in-restaurant McDonald’s TV.
“The Funny Face cartoons are hysterical,” adds David Imhoff, President of Infinity Licensing. “They have that clean but crazy humor like the “Fractured Fairy Tales” and “Looney Tunes” classics, but speak to today’s concerns about healthier living and better eating habits, especially for young people.”
