During a career in the licensing industry that spanned over thirty years, Catharine was responsible for co-founding EEMC, one of the forerunners of Ink and the first licensing agency to focus exclusively on Eastern Europe and Russia. Catharine became Executive Vice-President of what became Kidz Entertainment/EEMC before taking on the role of Head of Legal in 2007 – a position that saw her supervise and execute all legal and contractual matters pertaining to the use of intellectual property in connection with entertainment and consumer goods and services. |
“Catharine’s loss is keenly felt by us all at Ink and our thoughts are with her family at this very sad time,” says Ink CEO Morten Geschwendtner. “She was one of the driving forces behind the development of Kidz Ents/EEMC and its transformation into Ink and without her relentless optimism and the benefit of being able to tap into her vast industry experience, we would never have been able to grow and prosper.”
Adds KJ Istok, Ink Partner and Partner and Founder EEMC: “It has been an absolute privilege to know and work with Catharine over the course of many years. Her passing deprives the licensing sector of one of its most experienced and authoritative voices and she will be very much missed.” |
