French Connection To Launch Superman T-Shirt Collection Inspired By Upcoming Action Adventure Man Of Steel

Warner Bros. Consumer Products - June 2013

Warner Bros. Consumer Products UK (WBCP UK) is proud to announce that leading high-street fashion retailer French Connection will launch a 6 piece Superman t-shirt collection to coincide with the release of Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ Man of Steel that hits cinema screens beginning 14 June 2013.

Available to buy in French Connection stores worldwide (excluding Canada) and online at www.frenchconnection.com, French Connection’s designs use artwork from the new film, as well as vintage and comic Superman art, appealing to style-conscious fans that want to evoke the aesthetics of this iconic Super Hero through their wardrobe.

DC Comics Super Heroes are sleek, stylish, edgy and cool, all the things that French Connection’s core customer aspires to be. By utilising the graphics on t-shirts they’ve produced a range of pop-culture casuals that exude personality and a youthful flair that sets the retailer apart from their competitors and helps their core customer stand out from the crowd.

French Connection will be supporting the launch with a significant marketing campaign that will include an amazing window installation at its Regent Street store that will feature original Superman and General Zod costumes (7th June 2013 to 24th June 2013). French Connection also ran an in-store pre-awareness promotion in 59 UK stores where customers had an opportunity to enter a competition to win a pair of tickets to the European premiere of Man of Steel in London.

Paul Bufton, General Manager, Warner Bros. Consumer Products UK, said, “Following the success of our Batman collaboration last year, we’re delighted to be extending our relationship with French Connection. As a partner, they bring a fresh and modern approach to our brands and always go the extra mile in terms of in-store and promotional marketing, ensuring that Man of Steel will be a feature of high-streets across the country this summer.”
