ZeptoLab UK Limited® and ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE) have a 3 week long UK-wide promotional partnership between the hit brand — and online gaming phenomenon — Cut the Rope and the biggest independent toy retailer in the UK, The Entertainer. The promotion, which began in late August, offers the chance to meet Om Nom and win some fantastic prizes in store. |
The in-store competition challenges customers to find six cleverly disguised Om Nom character cards around each store. With great prizes including Cut the Rope goodies and a grand prize of a Kurio 7S tablet which contains Cut the Rope games, worth £150, it’s already been a big hit with shoppers. The online and Facebook Friday version of the competition allows online purchasers to take part in a web-based competition for the same prize too.
A select few stores are even welcoming Om Nom himself! He appeared in person at The Entertainer’s Brighton store on the 7th of September and is now eagerly awaited by his fans in Coventry where he will be dropping by on the 14th. This promotional activity is supporting the Vivid range of Cut the Rope toys and kicks off an Autumn/Winter media campaign with TV and In-App advertising of the Candy Monster Om Nom plush and the announcement of the second series of collectable Nommies in October.
Rebecca Rees, Head of Marketing The Entertainer “It’s been great working with ITV to bring Cut the Rope to life in store. Om Nom is a big hit with the children who visit the store and the activity has really helped boost sales of our Cut the Rope range!”
Natalie Harvey, Head of European Retail, Promotions and Digital Consumer Products ITV Studios Global Entertainment says: “Kids are already snapping up the ranges of Om Nom toys and enjoying new Cut the Rope levels and games. This promotion with the Entertainer is a wonderful way to enhance the brand’s engagement with Om Nom’s fast-growing young fan base.”
