The new license agreement with PPI Worldwide, the global marketing solutions agency, will see Maya the Bee promotional activities focused within retail and FMCG companies in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Ex-Yugoslavia, including Slovenia. Studio100 International has previously worked closely with M&AD Poland (part of PPI GROUP) and with PPI Worldwide, having earlier this year produced over 6 million Maya the Bee figurines for successful joint promotions with EMTE Supermarkets in the Benelux. Studio 100 International is now delighted to extend the co-operation with PPI following the launch of CGI Maya the Bee in CEE, where Maya is already a well known character. The new deal will see the two companies combine their experience to find new partners and organise creative promotions for CGI Maya the Bee – which has already been sold to 134 countries worldwide and has over 300 licensees. Evy Van Nederkassel, Licensing & Sales Manager CEE, Nordics and Israel at Studio 100, said: “We are very happy to have PPI on board and to combine their experience with Studio 100’s to find partners in this exciting market for Maya promotions. The Maya the Bee: Movie will be hitting theatres towards the end of 2014 in CEE which will also help drive further interest from retailers and FMCG partners.” The CGI series of Maya the Bee is a modern rejuvenation of the classic brand, produced by Studio 100 Animation in Paris, which sees Maya, the central character, breaking free of the hive to seek adventure in the big, wide world. With her friends Flip and Willy she explores a wonderful world steeped in mystery, with magical encounters to be found around every corner. Danny Weckx, who is managing Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and Poland for PPI Worldwide comments: “It`s great to have this cooperation with Studio 100. We all love Maya and are ready to build a strong promotional brand, which will have huge appeal to fans of the character. PPI wants to increase the total shopping experience and bring Maya to the forefront of children’s minds!” |
