LIMA (www.licensing.org), the international licensing association, will be playing a key role at Spring Fair International in Birmingham (2nd-6th February) - providing licensing information and advice at its dedicated booth within the show’s popular Licensing Lounge.

Located in Hall 3 of the NEC, (stand 3C18-D19) the Licensing Lounge will, for the third year running, provide a lively focal point for brand owners, licensing agents, suppliers seeking new licences and retailers keen to learn more about the hottest licensed properties and characters to suit their stores. Media partners including the Licensing Source Book and Guide to Licensing World also support the Licensing Lounge.

Licensors signed up to sponsor the Licensing Lounge and showcase their brands include: Warner Bros, Penguin Books, CPLG, Pummie Productions, The British Museum, Imperial War Museum, Hallmark, Marilyn Robertson, The Bridgeman Art Library and Dependable Solutions.

Well known licensing industry consultant, Keith Pashley, will host the Licensing Lounge for the third year running, providing expert advice for visitors seeking guidance through this fascinating but often complex market field. Kelvyn Gardner and Ryan Beaird, from LIMA UK will also be on hand to provide expert advice at LIMA’s booth.

Exhibitors will have their own space within the Lounge to display their key properties and hold meetings with existing and prospective licensees. There will also be a communal seating area and refreshment facilities for visitors.

On Monday 3rd February from 5pm onwards the organiser of The Licensing Awards and publisher of the Licensing Source Book, Max Publishing, will host a drinks reception for leading lights of the licensing industry, providing an ideal networking opportunity for licensors and their clients.

Kelvyn Gardner will also be giving a seminar on “Why retailers should stock licensed products” on Tuesday 4th February at 2.45pm in the Trends Theatre.

Kelvyn Gardner, Managing Director of LIMA UK, commented: “The Licensing Lounge at Spring Fair International is an essential resource and education tool for anyone who wants to know more about licensing. The past two year’s Licensing Lounge have demonstrated a clear need for more basic licensing information within the wider retail industry. By attending events such as these and having experts on hand, LIMA aims to spread the message about the benefits of licensing and dispel any myths.”

Amy Fiddy Key Account Manager, Spring Fair International said: “The Licensing Lounge area in Hall 3 is an integral feature of Spring Fair International 2014, which presents the largest annual showcase of licensed products in the UK and is a regular headline sponsor of The Licensing Awards. So many companies are there launching new licensed products across many different categories, making Spring Fair the ideal backdrop for licensors to network with existing and potential licensees. With thousands of buyers from around the world in attendance, this is also the perfect opportunity for property owners to promote their key brands to the widest possible audience.”
