Wolfblood Joins The Bulldog Pack!

It has been revealed that Bulldog Licensing is now representing CBBC ratings sensation Wolfblood in the UK licensing sector.

Wolfblood is the award-winning fantasy/drama series that centres on two seemingly normal teenagers, Rhydian and Maddy, who live a secret life as Wolfbloods - humans that can turn into wolves. Wolfbloods have razor-sharp senses, combined with speed, strength and agility when in human form, abilities that often prove useful in negotiating the turmoil of teenage life. However this is a secret that Maddy and Rhydian must keep or they could be placed in mortal danger.

Both series have been a huge success for the CBBC channel with first runs reaching nearly 1.1 million kids 6-12* and popular male-lead Bobby Lockwood also won a Children’s BAFTA for his role as Rhydian in the show. This adds to the RTS award and the Banff Rockie Award that Wolfblood collected in 2013

With such a faithful following the BBC confirmed that filming for series three would begin in early 2014 for broadcast later in the year, causing huge excitement amongst the show’s enormous fanbase, or ‘Wolfpackers’ as they call themselves.

Bulldog will build on Wolfblood’s cult status with a strategy that initially targets apparel, accessories, publishing, board games, card games and stationery lines.

“Wolfblood is massive and is only going to get bigger, so we are very excited about this deal,” says Bulldog Group Managing Director, Rob Corney. “With overtones of Twilight to the show, as well as superb style guide already available, the licensing potential for Wolfblood is immense. We are expecting to be announcing deals very soon.”

Wolfblood was created by Debbie Moon and is a co-production between CBBC and ZDF/ZDFE.
