Man overboard? No problem! Launch a rescue mission with the Playmobil coast guards

Playmobil - March 2014

Salty old sea dogs, watch out: Now the brand new team of the PLAYMOBIL Coast Guards goes on spectacular rescue missions. They rescue castaways, fight fires on the high seas, and aid the injured. The brave life-savers are always there when they are needed.

Everything under control: The Coast Guard Station
From their tower the crew of the Coast Guard Station with Lighthouse (L39 x D54 x H29 cm) watches over the bay. On the monitors of their station they keep track of shipping traffic – luckily the light house features LED running lights and guides the ships. The basement floor provides ample space for accessories – from life belt to diving gear. Suddenly the team notices a surfer drifting far into the ocean and they get their rescue boat ready. They use the cable winch to launch the boat, start the motor and a little later everyone – even the daredevil surfer – is safely back on dry ground.

Fire fighting and rescue on the high seas
The crew is having breakfast down in the cabin of the Fire Rescue Cruiser (L40 x D17 x H18 cm). But there’s no time for having an idle chat, as a ship reports fire alarm over the radio! The Rescue Cruiser unerringly finds its way through the waves to the place of action. The shipwrecked passengers have already escaped on their life raft. Using the cable winch the crew hauls the life raft on board. While the medic looks after the passengers, the other team members start fighting the fire. They aim the functioning nozzle at the flames while the pump moves the water from the tank.

The Fire Fighting Helicopter provides airborne support: The helicopter hovers over the water, lowers its bucket to fill it and sets off towards the fire. Just pull the lever and release the water. Afterwards the helicopter pulls the empty life raft out of the water and takes it back to the shore.

Fast help for patients
At the coast guard station an ambulance vehicle is already waiting for the rescue cruiser, but fortunately all passengers are in good health. Soon another alarm sounds: A bicycle rider was injured in an accident. There is no doubt, the medic immediately switch on the sirens and speed off in their Ambulance with Light and Sound, followed by the emergency doctor on Motorcycle with Flashing Lights. The injured biker is put on the stretcher, transferred to the ambulance and treated.

Rescue adventure
On land, on sea or in the air: the rescuers of the coast guard day after day face challenges with courage and team spirit. With highly detailed equipment and multiple functions the new sets provide loads of action and realistic play fun – even in a stiff breeze!

The life raft and boats are floatable. What is more, the boats can be equipped with underwater motors or r/c underwater motors.
