Not only horsey girls will see themselves in Emma and her touching story.

Lately, there is a lot going wrong in Emma’s life: Her relationship with best friend Katrin approaches a crisis and her parents are about to get divorced. She doesn’t know how to cope with this chaotic situation and holes up in the barn with her beloved horse Ajax.

When Emma and her parents suddenly have to move to Mongolia for half a year, she at first suffers from serious homesickness. But her new friendship to nomadic girl Baska marks the beginning to the greatest adventure of her life. On the back of wild horses they race along the Mongolian steppe and Emma is able to break her habits and dispel her self-doubts.
