is German Children’s Game of the Year 2014

Ghosts are on the loose in the old mansion. Nevertheless, four daredevil treasure hunters venture to go in. After all, there are eight precious jewels hidden inside. But you will only succeed if you are blessed with skills, team spirit and a bit of luck. This exciting cooperative game requires collaboration of all players. Almost every move on the board summons new ghosts thanks to the special dice. If three ghosts gather in the same room it will become haunted. If six rooms are haunted at the same time, you lose the game! That’s why you have to weigh up carefully saving jewels against the likely gains of facing the dangers in an exciting duel of dice. The basic rules thrill primary school children. The advanced game engages whole families.

Statement of the jury
: Never fear! Team work helps to achieve everything, no matter how creepy things get: Brian Yu creates a spooky atmosphere that inevitably involves players in the game. If the threat becomes too serious, he shifts his focus on team play; only if you act together you will be able to defeat the evil. What is more, this game is able to bridge the gap between generations. Step by step you may introduce variations and raise new challenges – and players rise likewise!
