BAFTA Award-Winning production company, Pesky Production, announces the popular CBeebies series Boj will be coming to DVD during 2015 with a special edition box set to be launched in time for Christmas.

Pesky Production has secured a five-year deal with Gold Ant Entertainment covering the UK and Eire. The deal has been brokered by Union Media who act as sales agent for the Boj brand across all sectors. Gold Ant Entertainment will have the license to exploit home, DVD rental, electronic sell through and downloads while Pesky Productions will retain the right to video on demand and subscription on demand.

Five DVD’s are planned for release (ten 11-minute episodes in each) with the box set due out at Christmas. This will feature a double length ‘special’ episode, in which Boj and his buddies must spend their first night away from Giggly Park on an “Adventure Camp”. It will also introduce a new character, Boj's little bilby cousin Hoj, visiting all the way from the outback, who therefore feels extra homesick!

Boj, currently airing on CBeebies in the UK and RTE Junior in Eire. is a pre-school animated comedy, where each episode sees the central character Boj, a bilby – an endangered big-eared bandicoot from the Australian outback - find an inspired way to help his new friends and neighbours solve a dilemma with one of his improvised ‘Boj-a-boom ideas!’ Boj’s playful ‘make do and mend’ approach never fails to surprise but his big-hearted ingenuity always save the day. The series stars Jason Donovan as the voice of Boj’s dad Pops, a musician who can’t help but burst into song at the end of every episode!
