Planeta Junior and Studio 100 International today announce the appointment of premiere Spanish toy manufacturer, Famosa, as worldwide Master Toy partner for classic global children’s brand, Heidi.

An extensive range of licensed products, covering all key categories, is planned for launch including dolls, plush, playsets, ride ons, and outdoor playhouses. The licensing deal covers Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece, territories managed by Planeta Junior, and France, the majority of Eastern European, Middle Eastern and African countries, managed by Studio 100.

The classic and much-loved brand, Heidi, is being revived with a refreshed CGI series appearing on screens in early 2015 which has already been sold to more than 100 countries. The licensing range reflects the series and stays true to the original key brand values: adventure, curiosity, a love of nature and sustainability.

International Licensing Director at Studio 100 International, Marie-Laure Marchand, comments ‘We are proud to be working with Famosa as we know their high quality products will capture the essence of Heidi’s character fully engaging the fans of yesterday and tomorrow. It will also add momentum to Heidi’s global licensing programme and we look forward to adding many new categories in the near future.

Ignacio Segura, General Manager at Planeta Junior, says that “We are very proud to have Famosa on board as master toy not only for Southern Europe, but also for the rest of the key territories for Heidi. We are convinced that Famosa, one of the most important Spanish toy companies in the market, is the right partner for this property and they will support the brand in terms of product development and marketing”.

Eduardo Garagorri, Chief Marketing Officer at Famosa, explains, “This is a great opportunity for the company and a new challenge that we undertake with huge enthusiasm. Heidi is a beloved and appreciated brand by children, so we are excited and look forward to starting this new phase”.
