On 10th November the Sunday Express featured a substantial article both in the main newspaper and on the web about how little loomers are moving from loom bands to knitting thanks to the new Cra-Z-Knitz kit. Enabling girls and boys to learn the traditional art of knitting, Cra-Z-Knitz takes the same principles of loom bands using a larger scale loom that can make beanies, scarfs, mittens and more. The article feature Lexie Dean who has been practicing with Cra-Z-Knitz for some weeks , and despite being a loom band fan, found knitting much more useful in creating accessories to wear. What’s more the story gained a separate editor’s comment plus the commission of an illustration by the expresses resident cartoonist in “Scotts View” Kathryn Ludlam, Brand Manager at Character Options commented: ‘We are experiencing high demand for the Cra-Z-Knitz Knitting Station which we believe to be the result of the looming craze moving to an alternative activity. Our marketing strategy will also harness the interest in the looming craze and ensure that kids know all about this great new option available to them. |
