Women in Toys (WIT), a professional networking base for women working in the business of toys, licensing and entertainment, is now accepting nominations for the 11th Annual Wonder Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment Awards. Winners in eight categories will be announced at the awards dinner, scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 15, 2015 during Toy Fair week in New York City.
The annual awards program recognizes and celebrates leaders, innovators and other powerful women who have made lasting contributions and have brought their unique visions to the toy and entertainment industries.
Industry stakeholders are invited to nominate a co-worker, client, associate, family member, or acquaintance for consideration in one or more of the following categories. With the exception of the Lifetime Achievement category, all nominations are due by January 15, 2015.
- Lifetime Achievement (must be submitted by December 1, 2014)
- Rising Star
- PR or Social Media
- Manufacturer
- Designer or Inventor
- Licensing or Entertainment
- Social Responsibility
- Marketing or Advertising
Nominations may be submitted online. All nominees must be WIT members in order to be eligible to win; however, both WIT members and non-members are invited to submit nominations. The Award Selection Committee and WIT Board of Directors will review all nominees and select the winners for each category.
The awards dinner will take place at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers in New York City. Tickets for the dinner are currently available for purchase online. The Toy Industry Association (TIA) is proud to be an event sponsor.
