Euro Lizenzen, the exclusive licensing agent reveals the news from the village of indomitable Gauls!

„Asterix and the missing scroll“ is the title of the 36th album of the adventures of Asterix the Gaul! With a mischievous gleam in their eyes, writers Jean-Yves Ferri and Didier Conrad recently unveiled the title at the Bologna Children's Book Fair to an enthusiastic audience under the benevolent gaze of Asterix's creator Albert Uderzo and Anne Goscinny, the daughter of the late René Goscinny.

In 2013 Jean-Yves Ferri and Didier Conrad first met the readers of Asterix. It was a heady occasion: being the first comic album without the participation of Albert Uderzo, expectations were intense and the stakes were high.

The 35th album “Asterix and the Picts” was a smash hit worldwide with approx. 6 million copies sold in a short time!

After almost two years, the authors of Asterix and the Picts came up with a new storyline: Albert Uderzo was all for it and gave it his blessing. And so the duo will once again work together to produce the 36th album.

In January 2015, the duo Jean-Yves Ferri and Didier Conrad announced the date on which the new album would be released. But it was still mid-production and they could not divulge any more than that. As a result, social media has been ablaze ever since! This new work is already eagerly awaited.

The long tradition followed by the creators of our heroes dictates that the characters travel to an unknown land every second album. They have sworn that in this album they will respect all the Asterix traditions and the Gauls will therefore remain at home in Gaul. But that's no easy task.

Yes, there will be battles aplenty, they confirm. And yes, there will be new characters including one really nasty one. Yes, there will be potions and Romans who get "walloped". Yes, the plot will be complex and thrilling and yes, there will be jokes about topical issues too... In short, another Asterix just the way we like it is on its way!

So yes, it's official, the Gauls are making a comeback. It seems that Caesar is still in "I came, I saw," mode. As for "I conquered," well we'll see about that!
