Ink merges with GNAM to bring clients access to more than one billion consumers
Ink Group, a leading solution provider in entertainment brand building and brand licensing headquartered in Copenhagen, and media development giant Global New Age Media (GNAM), based in Dubai, have announced an agreement that will bring the licensing services of these major names together as a single point of contact for access to over one billion consumers across three regions.
The combined forces of Ink and GNAM, namely INK ALC, will service the Russia CIS, MENA and the SEA regions as well as the Nordics. The formal announcement of the merger will take place at Las Vegas Licensing Expo in June, on the Ink booth (A136).
The new agency will continue to offer a full service — from media development and sales, through brand extension to product manufacturing. However, together the partners will be able to offer clients the synergies and efficiencies gained from operating as one entity with a vast potential reach in some of the world’s most exciting and fastest-growing markets.
Copenhagen will be the administrative hub of the combined company, housing the legal, financial and product development teams as well as the commercial contacts for each brand owner. Local and regional offices will focus on sales, marketing and client relations.
Together, Ink and GNAM have over 20 years’ experience in the licensing business, across both established and emerging markets, forging licensed business in new territories with a fledgling licensing environment and vast growth potential. This pioneering background will serve the newly launched Ink ALC well as it builds on the synergies and combined reach of the partnership to serve and further grow its client and consumer base.
Claus Tømming, Managing Partner Ink ALC says: “Individually Ink and GNAM have been pioneers within the licensing industry, focusing successfully on the potential of many fast-growing economies. Combining their licensing expertise will greatly enhance the possibilities for growth and innovation across the one-billion-strong consumer base these companies serve.”
Fayez Weiss Al Sabbagh, Chairman Ink ALC, says: “This is a timely and exceptionally beneficial partnership — not just for the companies involved but for their clients — present and future — who will be able to access industry-leading expertise and experience across multiple markets from one source.”
