The Action Man brand, licensed by Hasbro, was a powerhouse brand from the ‘60s through the ‘90s; and over a 30-year period hundreds of outfits and accessories were available. The Action Man figure was equipped with almost every military uniform imaginable and these stood in line with outfits for astronauts, divers, pilots, skiers, parachutists, firemen and sportsmen including an Olympian.

2016 sees the 50th Anniversary of the Action Man brand and to celebrate Hasbro and Art + Science International are bringing back a specially developed range of Collector Edition Action Man figurines. Art + Science International, a specialist Company in developing and launching retro toys; 5 Collector Editions will be released in June 2016 to coincide with Father’s Day and Armed Forces Day.

The range of 5 will feature the classic British infantrymen, the skier, the parachutists, the scuba diver and to specially remember 1966, the footballer. The Collector Editions will be inspired by the best of Action Man brand and will feature; accessories, gripping hands, the realistic “flock” hair and the famous scar. Other famous features like Eagle Eye and Muscle Torso will appear in later releases.

Each Action Man figure will be presented in a special diorama scene, with a 50th Anniversary Edition dog tag and illustrated Action Man Manual. The original Action Man artist, Douglas Hart will be providing the illustrations for the packaging and manual.
