Innovative and exciting New Rainbow kids’ comedy signs up broadcasters and licensees

Broadcasting, marketing and licensing activity for Regal Academy, the brand new property from content powerhouse Rainbow, just keeps on building!

Regal Academy, which follows the adventures of Rose Cinderella, a normal girl who suddenly finds herself in the World of Fairy Tales, has already been snapped up for broadcast by one of the world’s biggest family entertainment channels after Rainbow signed a worldwide deal with entertainment giant Nickelodeon. This will see the show reach millions of children across the world through Nickelodeon’s global network of channels from its launch in 2016. In Italy Rainbow’s long-term broadcast partner Rai will also air this new show from late 2016.

Interest in the show is high from many other broadcasters worldwide. In fact more broadcast announcements are imminent, with a number of agreements signed at Mipcom or likely to be finalized soon.

The promotion and marketing drive for Regal Academy is now well under way. Rainbow has teamed up with leading luxury shoe brand Loriblu, using the firm’s designer heels to promote Regal Academy at various events. At MipJunior, a specially designed pair of Loriblu heels was created for the occasion, while at BLE guests have the chance to win amazing shoes as part of a fantastic Cinderella-themed competition!

Regal Academy takes the familiar world of fairy tales and adds a delicious and charming twist. The action takes place through the eyes of Rose Cinderella, a normal girl who suddenly finds herself in the world of Fairy Tales. Here she discovers that Cinderella is… her granny! Rose is enrolled at the fabled Regal Academy where her fellow students include Hawk SnowWhite, Travis Beast, Joy LeFrog, Astoria Rapunzel and LingLing Iron Fan, all of whom belong to the school’s founding families. Featuring an irresistible mixture of comedy, music and innovative animation techniques, this funny and exciting new series of 26 half-hour episodes is aimed at kids aged 5 to 10 — and everyone who likes fairy tales!
