Fremantlemedia announces new european licensing agents for Kate & Mim-Mim

FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment has announced that it has appointed a number of new licensing agents in key territories to represent its hit burgeoning pre-school property Kate & Mim-Mim.

Leading European family entertainment company, Planeta Junior has signed as the licensing agent for all of its European territories including: France, where the series is signed to Lagardere and already airs on Tiji; Iberia, where the show will screen later this year on Clan in Spain and Panda in Portugal; Italy, where the series launches on Cartoonito; CEE where the series is shown on MiniMini in Poland and MiniMax in Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary; and in Turkey, where the series will be airing on Minika.

In addition, Megalicense has been signed as the licensing agent for Russia and CIS, where Kate & Mim-Mim is due to air on Karusel and sister channel ANI. These new signings will join SRTL who are already acting as the licensing agent for Germany, where the series airs on the Toggolino block on Super RTL.

Kate & Mim-Mim is a lively animated pre-school series about the special friendship between spirited five-year-old Kate and her toy bunny Mim-Mim. The programme hopped to success immediately after transmission, quickly becoming the No. 1 rated show in its time slot on every major broadcaster it launched on, including CBeebies in the UK, Super RTL in Germany and Disney Junior in the US. FMKFE has now sold the series to 80 international territories including, Disney Junior in the US, DR in Denmark, SVT in Sweden, and Okto in Singapore

FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment (FMKFE) recently announced that it has greenlit the second season of Kate & Mim-Mim which will air globally from spring 2016. The 46 x 11’ series is currently in pre-production and will include two themed seasonal specials.

Leading US-based toy company Just Play is the global master toy partner and will initially focus on the development of plush, dolls, playsets and figure packs,. The initial launch is scheduled in North America and the UK for summer 2016, followed by a wider international roll out.
