FremantleMedia Kids & Family appoints new multi-territory home entertainment partner

FremantleMedia Kids & Family (FMK) today announced that Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (UPHE) Content Group has been appointed as the home entertainment partner for FMK’s diverse programming portfolio across a number of key territories and will manage all DVD and DTO releases.

UPHE will take on FMK’s existing range of current titles - including the smash hit reimagined series of Danger Mouse, magical pre-school action/adventure animation Tree Fu Tom and the hugely popular girls’ pre-school animated series Kate & Mim-Mim. It will also manage the division’s rich catalogue of classic archive content which includes the enduringly popular and only animated version of the classic Dahl tale, The BFG – The Big Friendly Giant and cult series from yesteryear including the original, Danger Mouse, Count Duckula, The Wind in the Willows and Rainbow. FMK’s total catalogue features around 5000 hours’ worth of programming. Under the terms of the deal UPHE will also manage the home entertainment rights for any future FMK commissions.
