Nickelodeon International’s Together For Good and UNICEF have joined forces for an on-going partnership to educate and inspire kids around the globe to tackle discrimination and inequality in their homes, schools and communities. With the theme of social inclusion at its core, the goal of the partnership is to give kids the knowledge and resources to support UNICEF on their quest to ensure every child can reach their full potential.
The partnership officially kicks off with a new public service announcement (PSA) featuring UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Katy Perry, which will premiere on Nickelodeon channels internationally during the biggest night in kids’ television - Nickelodeon’s 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards*.
“We’re excited to partner with UNICEF to help support their mission to ensure every kid around the globe has the opportunity to reach their full potential,” said Pierluigi Gazzolo, EVP and Managing Director, Viacom International Media Networks Americas and Nickelodeon International. “At Nickelodeon, we put kids first in everything we do, and we’re committed to encouraging and empowering kids everywhere to make a positive impact on the world around them.”
“Every child deserves a fair chance in life. This new partnership provides a great opportunity to connect UNICEF’s work on child participation and parenting education with a global media platform aimed at young people. By amplifying children’s voices on the world stage we can encourage social inclusion and equity, leading to real change for children,” said UNICEF’s Director of Programmes, Ted Chaiban. |
