Warner Bros. Consumer Products UK and Ireland (WBCP UK and Ireland) is poised to ignite retail this spring as it launches the official licensed merchandise programme for Warner Bros. Pictures’ highly anticipated action adventure film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, directed by Zack Snyder (Man of Steel) starring Oscar winner Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) as Superman/Clark Kent, hitting cinemas on 25th March 2016.

A robust line-up of local partners have come on board in support of this landmark action adventure, which brings two of the most iconic DC Comics Super Heroes together on the big screen for the first time in history in an epic, highly anticipated face-off.

In the UK, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will strengthen DC Comics’ grip on the fashion sector with Aykroyds, Blues and Cooneen launching boys nightwear collections that play to the stylish sweet spot of all aspiring Super Heroes. DTR partnerships with fast-fashion leader Primark, on board for men’s t-shirts and ladies nightwear; and George at Asda, which will be launching a collection of men’s t-shirts and boys pyjamas, will ensure that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is an inescapable force at UK retail this Easter.

No Batman-branded licensing programme would be complete without a wheeled toy offering and WBCP UK and Ireland is proud to announce that MV Sports is on board with a range that includes bikes, scooters and skateboards. Locally, Centum Books have publishing covered; specialist gift licensees GB Eye and Pyramid are launching ranges that include mugs and posters; and Sambro has developed a diverse product offering that spans pocket money items, arts and crafts, games, bags and accessories.

In the homeware category, Spearmark has signed for a range of lunch bags and water bottles that are set to become the talk of the playground when term-time resumes. Corsair will pack a punch with a range of personal care and toiletry items; whilst Finsbury Foods are bringing a range of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice inspired celebration cakes to UK grocery that will be the choice centrepiece of DC Comics Super Hero themed parties in 2016.

A truly universal entertainment proposition, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice surpasses all age, gender and social boundaries. By working with the best licensees that the UK and Ireland has to offer, Warner Bros. Consumer Products UK and Ireland has created a licensing programme that recognises the broad consumer appeal of the film and compliments the global licensing programme which is led by global master toy licensee Mattel, along with global partners The LEGO Group and Rubie’s Costume Co. to name but a few.
