m4e in output deal with Universal Pictures Germany

m4e AG and Universal Pictures Germany GmbH announce an exclusive output deal covering all current and future m4e productions and library.

The German brand management and media company m4e AG has signed an multi-year output agreement with Universal Pictures Germany GmbH for its slate of own productions, co-productions and third party properties. Under the terms of agreement, Universal, a subsidiary of Universal Pictures International Entertainment, will distribute m4e’s upcoming TV series in the area of home entertainment and digital (EST/TVOD). For feature films, Universal Pictures Germany GmbH is entitled to exploit all audio visual rights, including TV, theatrical, home entertainment and digital distribution. The agreement covers all German-speaking territories including Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Alto Adige. In addition, Universal has a first-look option for Benelux, Italy, France, UK and the US.

The deal will also cover the upcoming DVD release and digital distribution of m4e’s latest co-production “Wissper” as well as season 3 of the hit TV series “Mia and me”.
