Sport equipment leader HEAD and watches manufacturer company Aion Time, an Italian start-up of timepieces experts in the industry since decades, have signed a license agreement for watches. The new license agreement has a global reach and the products will start to enroll in the fourth quarter of 2016. The lineup will be of two main target areas: both a more technical collection of digital watches with multiple sport functions, such as Chronometer, Pacer, Pedometer, GPS, HRM, and more; and a more lifestyle collection, with stainless steel chronograph for a more “after-activity” leisure time. There’s going to be some “smart” model as well, featuring a wide integration with mobile apps and data interchange in both senses (activity monitor, notifications, and more) which it’s going to be displayed in a traditional classic-casual dial. “Aion Time is the perfect partner to restart the Iconic HEAD brand into the watch market”, says Giuseppe Faranna, Vice President, Division Manager Licensing at HEAD Sport GmbH, the company that owns the HEAD brand. “We believe that Aion Time brings the combination of long lasting market knowledge and the ability to interpret our brand into this partnership and which is the reason that we believe that the watches will be a success”. “We are excited about working alongside the HEAD team” declares Tony Monopoli, General Manager and co-founder at Aion Time S.r.l.. “As a young company it is an honor to have been chosen as the developers and licensee of the new HEAD watches collection.
