Following an outstanding year for Shopkins Magazine, its publisher has been recognised in the 2016 PPA IPN awards – the Oscars of the publishing world. Shopkins magazine has echoed the success of the toy brand with sales increasing year on year as the title climbed to a top 100 ranking of the 4,000 magazines published in the UK.

Speaking of DJ Murphy’s success over the past year, judges said, “This has been DJ Murphy’s year in so many ways. A great company culture, some fantastic products, and a big move into both e-commerce and the highly competitive children’s market have all combined to make it an unforgettable 12 months for a company that goes back a long way. A really tough and closely- fought category, but in the end DJ Murphy emerged as the overall PPA Independent Publishing Company of the Year for 2016.”

Shopkins magazine’s Publisher, Zoe Cannon, says “I’m absolutely thrilled to have won this award. Much of our success over the past year has been thanks to the outstanding performance of Shopkins Magazine. It’s a real credit to our editors and designers who go the extra mile to create a genuinely fantastic package every month, not to mention our licensing agent Bulldog and licensor Moose Toys who are not only great to work with but extremely supportive of our work.”
