Angry Birds stars appear on Granarolo Yomino kids’ yoghurt lines in Italian market

Maurizio Distefano Licensing (MD Licensing) has signed a new licensing agreement on behalf of Angry Birds brand owner Rovio. Granarolo, a major name in the processing and marketing of milk-based products, will partner with the Angry Birds brand to bring special editions of its 100 per cent natural Yomino yoghurt lines to retail.

Yomino Angry Birds products will be available from Q1 2017, in Italian supermarkets, hypermarkets and traditional channels. But that’s not all.

Rovio, in collaboration with Granarolo, will also be offering great Angry Birds prizes in exchange for points. Customers just have to buy an Angry Birds Yomino product and check the packaging, which will offer points that can be collected and redeemed. When they have enough points they can claim one of a number of prizes including a play tent, a trolley and a complete set of luggage in different colours.

Yomino is the name of Granarolo’s Yomo line of products for kids. It includes:

  • squeezable yoghurt available in a number of flavours, produced in Italy with only Italian milk, and no dyes, preservatives, flavourings or thickeners
  • Yomino DJ: banana and strawberry flavour yoghurt you can mix with sprinkles or chocolate
  • Yomino snacks: two soft slices of sponge cake with a creamy filling.

Maurizio Distefano Licensing handles all licensing rights to Angry Birds for both the Italian and Swiss markets. MD Licensing works with a wide range of licenses from leading companies in their sectors across many product categories, including back to school, personal care, publishing, the world of toys, clothing and food. Among licensees signed to date are Academy, Admiranda, Fabbri, Gilmar, World, Nestlé, Perletti, Ravensburger, Walcor and Warm Up Industry.
