Chupa Chups® between Art, Fashion and Design

Chupa Chups® / Perfetti Van Melle - April 2017

Chupa Chups®, the most “pop” of all lollies, has been the special guest of Milan’s Design Week celebrated this April 2017, transforming the icon to original art and a surprising furniture collaboration, presented at a couple of unmissable events.

Within the program of the Fuorisalone events, in the prestigious location of the Brian & Barry Building, Chupa Chups® presented a special collection of pop furniture together with the design brand Altreforme. Altreforme starring Chupa Chups®” is a stunning collection of Altreforme iconic furniture and accessories dressed for the occasion with exclusive Chupa Chups® prints, done by the eclectic pop artist and fashion designer Philip Colbert, art director of the brand The Rodnik Band, who was inspired by surrealism and by Salvador Dalì’s version of the Chupa Chups® brand revisited in 1969.

The Altreforme starring Chupa Chups® limited edition, coloured the windows of the Brian & Barry Building in Milan throughout the Design Week and both brands celebrated their partnership with an exclusive launch cocktail party.

The collection is composed by the Simbolo divider, Fiocco chair, Coco console, Salvador chair, Gertrude & Alice seat, Tamara trunk, Jean pot, Candy boxes and the Lollipop vase, the masterpiece of the collection, an original creation of Valentina Fontana, art director, creative soul and founder of Altreforme.

During the Design Week, Chupa Chups® also protagonised another event in the beautiful setting of the Magna Pars hotel in the bustling Tortona zone of Milan. A special exhibit was dedicated to the Chupa Chups® by The Rodnik Band art collection, composed of sequin paintings, sculptures and sparkling outfits boasting the humour, colour and fun traits of the Chupa Chups® brand. www.vimeo.com/214008718
