Fremantlemedia launches a portfolio of products at retail surrounding the Iconic Baywatch brand

Fremantle Licensing will be heading to Licensing Expo 2017 with a robust product program based on the hit television series, Baywatch. From the beaches of Malibu to retailers across the country, fans of the Baywatch brand can look forward to additional items launching throughout the year.

“There’s no brand that encompasses the Southern California lifestyle like Baywatch,” said Andrea Brent, Senior Vice President of Licensing & Franchise Management, FMNA. “The product options are endless with this classic brand that has had such a huge impact on pop culture throughout the years.”

This spring will see the launch of a new Baywatch line of apparel and accessories for men, women and juniors at Forever 21 retail locations. The collection includes Baywatch branded T-shirts, tank tops, fleece, novelty tops, lounge pants, shorts, sweaters, hats, outerwear/jackets, socks, fanny packs, beach towels and swim suits. Additional retailers that will be carrying Baywatch branded apparel include Kohl’s, Old Navy, Macy’s, Spencer Gifts, JC Penney, Target and more.

Also this spring, Tipsy Elves will be hitting the sand with their own line of apparel. The company will be coming to market with men’s and women’s T-shirts, tank tops and hats. All items will be sold exclusively at www.tipsyelves.com, as well as www.Amazon.com.

By fall, fans will still be hitting the Baywatch beach as costumes from Spirit Halloween appear at retail. Both men’s and women’s replica lifeguard costumes will be made available, along with additional props such as a branded fanny pack, and an inflatable rescue float to further authenticate the official Baywatch look.

And with the Baywatch brand having huge global appeal, products coming to market internationally this year include Australia, where Jay Jays will be launching Baywatch graphic tees from Mitch Dowd in May, and Caprice will be creating outerwear for Big W this summer. In addition, Smiffy’s currently has a line of Baywatch costumes available.

In the UK, licensees Smiffys, Trademark, Roy Lowe & Sons, BC International, Somerbond. Euro. Prosem and UK Printwear will be launching their lines of dress-up, T-shirts, socks, underwear, swimwear, ladies hoodies and shorts across a range of key retailers including George at ASDA, Primark, Penneys Zara, Mango and HMV.

These new lines are in addition to the myriad of Baywatch products already available to consumers including stylized figures from Funko. Mitch Buchannon and C.J. Parker are currently sporting their iconic red swimsuits and rescue floats in the company’s collectible vinyls.

For those looking for a more interactive Baywatch experience, Ludia recently launched their BUZZR Casino casual game, which included a Baywatch branded slots machine and Guard Duty mini game.
